Myles Richard Bass (born November 27, 1969, in Boston, Massachusetts), known professionally as Myles Kennedy, is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. He is best known for his work as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the rock bands Alter Bridge and Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, alongside guitarist Slash. Kennedy’s musical journey began at a young age, when he started playing guitar and singing.

Kennedy’s early musical career saw him involved in various bands and projects, performing in the local music scene. He gained recognition for his powerful vocal abilities and dynamic stage presence. In the late 1990s, Kennedy moved to Spokane, Washington, where he continued to pursue his passion for music.

In 2004, Kennedy’s career took a significant turn when he joined forces with former members of Creed to form the band Alter Bridge. He has also cited other jazz players and soul singers such as John Coltrane, Al Green, Mike Stern, Miles Davis, Otis Redding, Frank Gambale, Pat Metheny, Lyle Mays, and Curtis Mayfield as early influences. He also loves blues music. Additional influences include Guns N’ Roses, U2, AC/DC, Mastodon, and Radiohead.

Kennedy’s favorite singers include Jeff Buckley, Robert Plant, Bon Scott, Chris Whitley, and k.d. lang.

His discography includes fifteen studio albums, two concert films, four live albums, five extended plays, and thirteen singles in total, in addition to eleven studio tracks that he has appeared on as a featured artist, one of which was a single.
