GRAMMY award-winning Jakob Dylan (born December 9, 1969) is an American singer-songwriter, best known as the frontman and songwriter for the rock band The Wallflowers.
Son of the legendary folk singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, Jakob grew up in New York City and Los Angeles.
Though inevitably linked to the musical legacy of his father, Bob Dylan, Jakob’s own influences leaned towards British rock, like The Clash, who inspired him to pick up music himself. He started in various Indie bands before forming The Wallflowers in 1989.
The Wallflowers rose to fame in the 1990s with their alternative rock sound, drawing comparisons to heartland rock legends like Tom Petty.

Dylan, along with Regina Spektor, Cat Power, Beck, Fiona Apple, and Jade Castrinos, performed these songs in a concert at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles in October 2015.
Jakob Dylan has dabbled in other creative endeavors, including acting and serving as executive producer for a documentary film. Despite his famous father, Jakob has carved his own path in the music industry, earning recognition for his songwriting and musicianship.
