Although less frequently requested, the following might be considered, also.
- A non-performance personal appearance.
An example would be to hire a celebrity to attend a private or corporate party as simply a (non-performing) guest to mingle with other guests, or to hire the celebrity to do a meet-and-greet at your party.
- A virtual performance.
A virtual performance is a live or recorded show—such as a concert, play, dance, comedy act, or other artistic presentation—that is broadcast or streamed online instead of being performed in front of a physical audience. Artists perform live from a studio, venue, or even their homes and stream the show on platforms like YouTube, Twitch, or Instagram Live. Essentially, a virtual performance brings entertainment to audiences through the internet rather than in-person venues.

aka: Cynthia Ann Stephanie Lauper, Cynthia Lauper
GRAMMY Award-winning Cyndi Lauper is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and activist. Her career has spanned more than 40 years.
Starting her career as a singer in Manhattan’s clubs, Cyndi Lauper began writing her own material when she met pianist John Turi in 1977.

She split with Turi and, in 1983, began working on what was to become her multi-million-selling solo debut, “She’s So Unusual.” It made number 4 in the USA and provided four hit singles – the exuberant “Girls Just Want To Have Fun” (US/UK number 2), which became a cult anthem for independent young women; “Time After Time” (US number 1/UK number 3, later covered by Miles Davis on “You’re Under Arrest” and by the jazz duo Tuck And Patti), “She Bop” (US number 3, which broached the unusual subject of female masturbation) and “All Through The Night” (US number 4, written by Jules Shear). The album also featured Prince’s “When You Were Mine.”
At the end of 1984, Billboard magazine placed Cyndi Lauper first in the Top Female Album Artists, and she was awarded a Grammy as Best New Artist.
Her image was one that adapted for the American market, something of a colorful “punk” image that would not offend parents too much but at the same time retain a sense of humor and rebelliousness that would appeal to the youth.

“True Colors” title track provided her with a US number 1 and a Top 20 hit in the UK. The follow-up, “Change of Heart” (written by Essra Mohawk and featuring The Bangles), reached US number 3 in November 1986.
Cyndi Lauper has written several magnificent pop tunes (“Time After Time” is destined to become a classic) and, in 1985, boosted her credibility as a singer when she performed a stirring duet with Patti LaBelle at LaBelle’s show at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles.
A reworked version of her biggest hit, retitled “Hey Now (Girls Just Want to Have Fun),” reached number 4 in the UK charts in September 1994. In 1998, she recorded the seasonal album “Merry Christmas, Have A Nice Life,” her final release for Sony Records.
Cyndi Lauper has received numerous awards and accolades throughout her career. Some of the awards she has received include:
- Grammy Award for Best New Artist (1985)
- MTV Video Music Award for Best Female Video (1984)
- American Music Award for Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist (1985)
- ASCAP Pop Music Award for Most Performed Song (1985)
- Billboard Music Award for Female Artist of the Year (1985)
- Brit Award for Best International Female (1985)

How is the fee of Cyndi Lauper determined?
✅ Cyndi Lauper fee determination
Cyndi Lauper’s manager determines the artist’s concert fee (also known as a guarantee) by evaluating a combination of business, market, and logistical factors.
Here’s a breakdown of key elements considered:
1. Cyndi Lauper’s Popularity and Demand
-
Ticket Sales History: How many tickets they’ve sold recently in the same market or similar ones.
-
Streaming & Radio Metrics: Spotify/Apple Music numbers, YouTube views, Shazam stats, radio spins.
-
Social Media Following & Engagement: Followers, reach, and how active and loyal the fan base is.
2. Market Strength
-
City or Region: Artists can command higher fees in cities where they are more popular.
-
Venue Size: Bigger venues mean more ticket sales and higher potential revenue.
-
Local Competition: Is the artist competing with other events nearby on the same date?
3. Cyndi Lauper Touring Expenses
-
Band & Crew Payroll: Salaries, per diems, union rates.
-
Production Costs: Lights, sound, transportation, backline, hotel, security, etc.
-
Travel: Flights, buses, fuel, lodging. Fees are often higher for more distant or logistically complex locations.
4. Type of Event
-
Hard Ticket Show: The artist is the main draw; ticket sales drive revenue. The fee is based on expected gross revenue minus expenses.
-
Festival or Fair: Often pay higher flat fees as the event assumes ticket risk.
-
Corporate or Private Event: Typically, higher pricing due to exclusivity and often minimal promotional benefit.
5. Promoter Offer and Negotiation
-
The manager evaluates received offers and may negotiate elements to modify the fee or reduce expenses.
-
Promoters/Private Buyers typically present a formal offer sheet that includes:
-
Guarantee (flat fee): Minimum the artist gets paid.
-
Backend or Bonus: Extra earnings based on ticket sales after breakeven. (Typically, this is not applicable to private/corporate events.)
-
Expenses: Travel, accommodations, hospitality, etc.
6. Comparing Fees
-
Managers often compare fees of similar-level artists to stay competitive in pricing.
7. Cyndi Lauper Routing Considerations
-
If the date fits smoothly into a larger tour routing, they might accept a lower fee.
-
If it’s a one-off or out-of-the-way show, the fee might be higher to justify the extra time and effort.
