He recited the chorus lyrics of their song “Forgotten Years” and hailed the outfit as an “extraordinary” band whose music “brought people’s differences together, not to resolve them, just to get them in the same room, up each other’s noses”. This event was held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) to raise money for victims of Victoria’s February bushfire disaster. The event was held simultaneously with a concert at the Sydney Cricket Ground. All proceeds from the Melbourne Concert went to the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire relief.
