Although less frequently requested, the following might be considered, also.
- A non-performance personal appearance.
An example would be to hire a celebrity to attend a private or corporate party as simply a (non-performing) guest to mingle with other guests, or to hire the celebrity to do a meet-and-greet at your party.
- A virtual performance.
A virtual performance is a live or recorded show—such as a concert, play, dance, comedy act, or other artistic presentation—that is broadcast or streamed online instead of being performed in front of a physical audience. Artists perform live from a studio, venue, or even their homes and stream the show on platforms like YouTube, Twitch, or Instagram Live. Essentially, a virtual performance brings entertainment to audiences through the internet rather than in-person venues.

GRAMMY award-winning Tyler Gregory Okonma, professionally known as Tyler the Creator, is an American rapper and record producer. He is one of the founding members of the music collective Odd Future. Okonma has won two Grammy Awards, three BET Hip Hop Awards, a BRIT Award, and a MTV Video Music Award.

In 2011, his debut studio album Goblin brought him mainstream exposure, which was aided by the popularity of the single “Yonkers” and its accompanying music video. During this period, Odd Future gained rapid popularity and Okonma faced controversy over his lyrics, most notably with the song “Yonkers”.
In 2011, Okonma founded the streetwear brand, Golf Wang, and then began the annual music festival Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival both in 2012.
In 2013, beginning with his second album, Wolf, Tyler the Creator began moving away from his stylistic horrorcore towards a more alternative hip hop sound.
His 2015 album, Cherry Bomb, featured a greater focus on melodic and jazz-fused sounds, which has continued throughout his later discography. The album features performances from notable artists, such as Kanye West and Schoolboy Q.
That same year, he performed at Coachella along with other artists, such as Jack White, Drake, AC/DC, Florence & the Machine, Tame Impala, St. Vincent, Ryan Adams, Interpol, Belle & Sebastian, Alt-J, and The Weeknd.

How is the fee of Tyler the Creator determined?
✅ Tyler the Creator fee determination
Tyler the Creator’s manager determines the artist’s concert fee (also known as a guarantee) by evaluating a combination of business, market, and logistical factors.
Here’s a breakdown of key elements considered:
1. Tyler the Creator’s Popularity and Demand
-
Ticket Sales History: How many tickets they’ve sold recently in the same market or similar ones.
-
Streaming & Radio Metrics: Spotify/Apple Music numbers, YouTube views, Shazam stats, radio spins.
-
Social Media Following & Engagement: Followers, reach, and how active and loyal the fan base is.
2. Market Strength
-
City or Region: Artists can command higher fees in cities where they are more popular.
-
Venue Size: Bigger venues mean more ticket sales and higher potential revenue.
-
Local Competition: Is the artist competing with other events nearby on the same date?
3. Tyler the Creator Touring Expenses
-
Band & Crew Payroll: Salaries, per diems, union rates.
-
Production Costs: Lights, sound, transportation, backline, hotel, security, etc.
-
Travel: Flights, buses, fuel, lodging. Fees are often higher for more distant or logistically complex locations.
4. Type of Event
-
Hard Ticket Show: The artist is the main draw; ticket sales drive revenue. The fee is based on expected gross revenue minus expenses.
-
Festival or Fair: Often pay higher flat fees as the event assumes ticket risk.
-
Corporate or Private Event: Typically, higher pricing due to exclusivity and often minimal promotional benefit.
5. Promoter Offer and Negotiation
-
The manager evaluates received offers and may negotiate elements to modify the fee or reduce expenses.
-
Promoters/Private Buyers typically present a formal offer sheet that includes:
-
Guarantee (flat fee): Minimum the artist gets paid.
-
Backend or Bonus: Extra earnings based on ticket sales after breakeven. (Typically, this is not applicable to private/corporate events.)
-
Expenses: Travel, accommodations, hospitality, etc.
6. Comparing Fees
-
Managers often compare fees of similar-level artists to stay competitive in pricing.
7. Tyler the Creator Routing Considerations
-
If the date fits smoothly into a larger tour routing, they might accept a lower fee.
-
If it’s a one-off or out-of-the-way show, the fee might be higher to justify the extra time and effort.
