Morgan Cole Wallen, born May 13, 1993, in Sneedville, Tennessee, is one of the biggest commercial forces in country music. He sang in his church choir from the age of three, picked up the violin at five, and added piano and guitar later.
He competed on the sixth season of The Voice, first with Usher and later with Adam Levine, then signed to Panacea Records and released his debut EP Stand Alone in 2015. Big Loud signed him the following year.
If I Know Me arrived in 2018. What followed reset the format. Dangerous: The Double Album (2021) spent ten weeks at No. 1 and became the longest-running top 10 album by a solo artist in Billboard 200 history. One Thing at a Time (2023) logged 19 nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1. Both albums stayed inside the Billboard 200 top 10 for more than 100 weeks, making him the first artist ever to manage that with two records.
I’m the Problem (2025) opened at No. 1 with the biggest debut week of the year, 493,000 units, and the year’s largest streaming week for any album. All 37 of its tracks charted on the Hot 100 in release week, breaking his own record for simultaneous entries. It topped the chart in seven countries, produced five No. 1 singles at country radio, and spent 12 nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1. That made it his third straight album to hold the Billboard 200 summit for 10 weeks or more, a first for any artist.
His touring matches album success. The 2022 Dangerous Tour sold 839,704 tickets. His 2023 run was the fourth-highest-grossing tour of the year at $260.4 million across 44 shows. In July 2024, he drew 50,000 to BST Hyde Park, the largest country concert ever staged in the United Kingdom. The Still The Problem Tour closed in August 2026, having sold out all 23 shows across 12 stadiums, and along the way, he became the first artist to play two consecutive nights at Michigan Stadium and the first to play Alabama’s Bryant-Denny Stadium in 43 years.
He also runs the Morgan Wallen Foundation, which backs youth sports and music programs. A portion of every ticket sold on the 2026 tour went to it, and the run put more than $1 million worth of instruments into 26 schools across the cities he played.
