The song was previously available as a bonus track on physical versions of Laurel Hell and was used in the 2022 film After Yang. Mitski appears on the song “This Is a Life” from the soundtrack for the 2022 film Everything Everywhere All at Once. The song also features David Byrne, and Son Lux, for which she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song of 2023.
