Matteo Milleri, professionally known as Anyma, was born on May 19, 1988, in New York City. He moved to Italy at a young age and later pursued sound engineering at the SAE Institute in Milan. In 2008, during his studies, he met Carmine Conte, and together they formed the electronic music duo Tale of Us. The pair relocated to Berlin, Germany, where they became prominent figures in the electronic music scene. In 2016, they co-founded Afterlife Records, a label known for its techno and melodic house releases.
Launch of Anyma Project
In 2021, Milleri introduced his solo project, Anyma, aiming to blend music, digital art, and immersive experiences. The debut EP, “Claire,” was released in June 2021 and featured collaborations with artists like Janus Rasmussen and Delhia de France. Notably, the title track was accompanied by the world’s first full-size NFT music video, created in collaboration with Berlin-based artist Marigoldff and IOR50 Studio. Following this, the “Sentient” EP was released in July 2021, showcasing a darker and more experimental sound.

Debut Album and Collaborations
Anyma‘s first full-length album, “Genesys,” was released on August 11, 2023. The album explores themes of technology, nature, and humanity, featuring collaborations with artists such as Grimes, Sevdaliza, CamelPhat, Chris Avantgarde, Rebuke, and Cassian. A year later, in 2024, “Genesys II” was released, continuing the exploration of these themes.

Innovative Performances and Las Vegas Residency
Anyma is renowned for integrating cutting-edge technology into live performances, creating immersive audiovisual experiences. In 2024, he began a six-night residency titled “The End of Genesys” at the Las Vegas Sphere, a venue celebrated for its advanced LED screens and acoustics. The residency received acclaim for its fusion of immersive visuals, innovative technology, and futuristic narratives.
Personal Life
Milleri married Italian supermodel Vittoria Ceretti in 2020. However, in June 2023, Ceretti announced their separation via a TikTok video. In March 2024, Milleri’s relationship with Canadian musician Grimes became public, with Grimes sharing images of the couple on social media. Milleri and Grimes parted ways in 2025.
Recent Developments
In 2023, Afterlife Records, co-founded by Milleri, entered into a distribution agreement with Interscope Records to expand its music catalog’s reach. Additionally, Anyma‘s YouTube channel has garnered more than 750,000 subscribers, reflecting his growing influence in the electronic music scene.
