Although less frequently requested, the following might be considered, also.
- A non-performance personal appearance.
An example would be to hire a celebrity to attend a private or corporate party as simply a (non-performing) guest to mingle with other guests, or to hire the celebrity to do a meet-and-greet at your party.
- A virtual performance.
A virtual performance is a live or recorded show—such as a concert, play, dance, comedy act, or other artistic presentation—that is broadcast or streamed online instead of being performed in front of a physical audience. Artists perform live from a studio, venue, or even their homes and stream the show on platforms like YouTube, Twitch, or Instagram Live. Essentially, a virtual performance brings entertainment to audiences through the internet rather than in-person venues.

Asia is a British rock band formed in London in 1981. The band’s original lineup consisted of four members: John Wetton (bass, vocals), Steve Howe (guitar), Geoff Downes (keyboards), and Carl Palmer (drums). Asia is notable for its progressive rock sound infused with elements of pop and hard rock, as well as its commercial success during the early 1980s.
Each member of Asia had previously achieved success in other notable bands. John Wetton had been a member of King Crimson, Roxy Music, and Uriah Heep. Steve Howe was best known for his work with the progressive rock band Yes. Geoff Downes had been a member of Yes and The Buggles, famous for their hit “Video Killed the Radio Star.” Carl Palmer was the drummer for Emerson, Lake & Palmer.

Asia‘s self-titled debut album, released in 1982, was a commercial success, reaching the top of the charts in several countries, including the United States, where it was certified multi-platinum. The album featured the hit singles “Heat of the Moment” and “Only Time Will Tell,” which helped establish Asia as one of the prominent rock bands of the early 1980s.
Subsequent albums, including “Alpha” (1983) and “Astra” (1985), achieved varying degrees of commercial success, but none matched the impact of the debut album. The band went through several lineup changes over the years, with different members joining and departing, including the return of original members at various points.
Asia clicked with fans of popular arena acts such as Journey and Styx.
Despite lineup changes and fluctuations in popularity, Asia continued to release albums and tour throughout the 1980s and beyond. They enjoyed a resurgence in the 2000s and 2010s, with the original lineup reuniting for albums and tours.
Asia has maintained a dedicated fan base and received critical acclaim for their musicianship and songwriting. Their music continues to be celebrated by fans of classic rock and progressive rock, cementing their legacy as one of the iconic bands of the genre.
