Drowning Pool is an American rock band formed in Dallas, Texas, in 1996. The band gained widespread recognition and success in the early 2000s with their debut album, Sinner, which included the hit single “Bodies.”
The original lineup consisted of vocalist Dave Williams, guitarist C.J. Pierce, bassist Stevie Benton, and drummer Mike Luce. Dave Williams tragically passed away in 2002 due to heart disease, but the band continued with a new vocalist, Jason Jones, who appeared on their second album, Desensitized, released in 2004.

Following Jones’ departure, Ryan McCombs joined as the new vocalist, and the band released their third album, Full Circle, in 2007. McCombs departed in 2011, and Jasen Moreno became the band’s fourth vocalist. With Moreno, the band released Resilience in 2013 and Hellelujah in 2016.
Throughout their career, Drowning Pool has undergone various lineup changes but has maintained a devoted fan base with their energetic performances and hard-hitting sound. They have toured extensively and have appeared on numerous festivals and tours alongside other prominent rock and metal acts.
Drowning Pool‘s music is characterized by heavy guitar riffs, aggressive vocals, and catchy hooks, blending elements of alternative metal, hard rock, and nu-metal.
