How to Hire CHARLOTTE DE WITTE For Your Event!
The Dark Queen of Underground Beats
aka: Charlotte Aloïs de Witte, Raving George
Born in: Belgium
Based in: Belgium
Hire: Charlotte de Witte
Charlotte de Witte was born on July 21, 1992, in Ghent, Belgium. Around 2009, she began exploring Ghent’s underground nightclub scene, which sparked her interest in electronic music. By 2010, she had started DJing, initially focusing on electro music. Her production career commenced approximately two years later.
Rise to Prominence as Raving George
In 2011, de Witte won a Studio Brussel DJ contest, leading to her performance at the Tomorrowland festival. To avoid gender-based prejudices in the industry, she adopted the alias “Raving George.” Under this moniker, she released her debut EP in 2013 and gained significant attention with the 2015 single “You’re Mine,” featuring Oscar and the Wolf.

Transition to Techno and Personal Branding
Later in 2015, de Witte decided to drop her alias and perform under her real name, marking a shift from electro to a darker, more stripped-back techno sound. This change was inspired by a set from German techno DJ Len Faki that she experienced at a festival. Her debut EP as Charlotte de Witte, titled “Weltschmerz,” was released the same year on Turbo Recordings.
Establishment of KNTXT Label
In 2019, Charlotte de Witte launched her own label, KNTXT, providing a platform for artists like Chris Liebing, Monoloc, and Alignment. The label reflects her commitment to promoting uncompromising and headstrong techno music.
Personal Life
On February 5, 2021, de Witte announced her engagement to Italian techno DJ and producer Enrico Sangiuliano. The couple released their first joint record later that year, a remix of the 1990 trance track “The Age of Love,” which topped Beatport‘s 2021 techno bestsellers list and received a gold record in 2022 for more than 500,000 units sold. They married in 2022.
Recent Endeavors
In January 2024, de Witte launched a new label, Époque, dedicated to remixing iconic tracks from Belgium’s dance music history. The following month, she opened a temporary KNTXT Store in Brussels. On February 7, 2025, she performed a free set at Stadshal in Ghent, attracting 12,500 fans.
Accolades and Recognition
Throughout her career, Charlotte de Witte has received numerous accolades, including being voted the world’s best techno DJ at the DJ Awards in 2019. She has also graced the covers of Mixmag and DJ Mag, solidifying her status as a leading figure in the electronic music scene.
