Bryan Martin is an American country music singer. In 2023 and 2024, Martin had his first charted entry with the single “We Ride”.

Singer/songwriter Bryan Martinʼs hard-working background and rich, sonorous voice have resonated with audiences in and around his home of Louisiana since he first posted the elegant country ballad “Oilfield Dad” on social media in 2014.

From the oil fields, where he was a “roughneck” on the rigs, to pursuing his hobby of writing songs & learning to play guitar, this self-taught musician is quickly becoming recognized as one of country music’s emerging new talents. Music was part of Bryan’s upbringing from an early age.

If life had gone as Bryan Martin planned and the gun had fired as intended, his fate would be vastly different. However, the rising country star is here, transforming his troubled past into a narrative of resilience.

Martin’s journey began in Logansport, Louisiana, where he first sang in a small church. He grew up performing hymns meant to heal the brokenhearted, but his true spirit shone through when he enthusiastically sang Billy Ray Cyrus’s “Achy Breaky Heart” at just four years old.

He continued singing covers of legendary country artists like George Strait until bull riding captured his interest. As a teenager, he passionately pursued the sport while working in Louisiana’s hay fields, eventually earning enough to buy his first car, a 1988 Chevrolet Blazer.

Yet, Martin often retreated to the woods near his trailer home, finding solace beneath the trees that he couldn’t find at home. In these quiet moments, he felt a profound pain in his heart.

“I still find myself wanting to go back to that spot.”

Martin eventually succumbed to temptations like drugs and alcohol, prompting him to drop out of high school and attempt to clean up his life in the military. However, being sent home left him feeling like a failure, leading to a suicide attempt.

“I took 30 Percocet and misfired a .357 when I was 19 years old. My first song came from a suicide note.”

The day after his attempt, Martin met his future wife, started working on a rig, and eventually became a father to four children. Despite his struggles, he worked hard to make the most of his challenging life.

A near-fatal accident later resulted in a brain injury, prompting Martin to overhaul his personal and professional life.

“I promised to take all these broken promises and my guitar, which I’d been hiding behind, and make it work for me. I had done all the suffering I was going to do.”

This determination and Martin’s relentless work ethic led to his debut album, “If It Was Easy,” which detailed his battles with opiate addiction and mental health, as well as his upbringing in an oil field family. This album marked his emergence as one of country music’s grittiest storytellers.

“I believe if I hide my scars or put on a mask, I’m doing exactly what I never wanted to do. I wear my scars, and I’m learning to wear them proudly. I don’t hide anything because people need to know there’s no difference between them and me.”

Despite his humility, Bryan Martin is proving he’s unique in the country music scene. From his Grand Ole Opry debut to his album, “Poets & Old Souls,” featuring hits like “Wolves Cry” and the uplifting “We Ride,” Martin is healing himself and others with every song.

“That’s what songs do…they heal.”

Adding to his success, Bryan Martin has toured with Warren Zeiders, Jason Aldean, and Brantley Gilbert, and surpassed 300 million worldwide streams.

“These songs come from the struggles I’ve endured. I know my survival wasn’t just me. I thank God for it.”

By 2023, “We Ride” had begun charting on the Billboard Country Airplay charts, also reaching the Billboard Hot 100 in early 2024. The song is on Bryan Martin‘s third album, Poets & Old Souls.

Following the song’s release, Martin was booked as a support act for Morgan Wallen and Warren Zeiders.
