William Wendell Gilman III (born May 24, 1988), known professionally as Billy Gilman, is an American country music singer. At the age of nine, Gilman was discovered by Ray Benson of Asleep at the Wheel, who helped him record demos.
Starting as a young country artist, he is known for his debut single “One Voice”, a top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 and a top 20 hit on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in 2000. He has released five albums, including three for Epic Nashville.

Billy Gilman showed an early interest in singing and performing. He began singing in local talent shows and events at the age of seven.
His talent was recognized by record producer David Malloy, who helped him secure a record deal with Epic Records when he was just 11 years old.
In 2000, at the age of 11, Gilman released his debut album, “One Voice“. The album’s title track, “One Voice,” became a major hit and made him one of the youngest country music stars ever.
The album was certified double platinum and included other successful songs like “Oklahoma” and “There’s a Hero.”
Following the success of “One Voice,” Billy Gilman released several more albums, including “Classic Christmas” and “Dare to Dream.” He continued to tour and perform, building a dedicated fan base.
