Bobby Ray Simmons Jr., known professionally as B.o.B., is an American rapper, record producer, and conspiracy theorist.
Simmons quickly achieved commercial success, when his debut single “Nothin’ on You” (featuring Bruno Mars), reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2009, and earned a Grammy Award for Record of the Year nomination.

His subsequent singles “Airplanes” (featuring Hayley Williams of Paramore) and “Magic”, both reached the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. Simmons’ debut studio album, The Adventures of Bobby Ray (2010), was preceded by two extended plays (EPs) and several self-released mixtapes. The album reached number one on the US Billboard 200 chart and was certified 2× platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
B.o.B. was named the ninth “Hottest MC in the Game of 2010” by MTV, on their annual list. The following year, he was featured on English singer Jessie J‘s single “Price Tag”, which reached number one in the UK.
In 2012, Simmons’ second studio album, Strange Clouds, reached the top 10 on the Billboard 200. It’s eponymous lead single (featuring Lil Wayne) became his fourth top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. The album’s follow-up singles, “So Good” and “Both of Us” (featuring Taylor Swift), were both certified platinum by the RIAA, and reached the top 20 in the US. He also released the song “Out of My Mind” (featuring Nicki Minaj).
In December 2013, he released his third album, Underground Luxury. The album was supported by five singles, namely “We Still in This Bitch” (featuring T.I. and Juicy J), “HeadBand” (featuring 2 Chainz), “Ready” (featuring Future), “John Doe” and “Throwback” (featuring Chris Brown). He was later featured on Ty Dolla Sign‘s 2014 single “Paranoid”, which became a Top 40 hit in the US.

On February 24, 2015, B.o.B. appeared on Tech N9ne‘s “Hood Go Crazy”, alongside 2 Chainz. Later that year, B.o.B. spoke about the possibility of a collaborative mixtape with Tech N9ne. On August 14, 2015, B.o.B. released an experimental project titled Psycadelik Thoughtz, stating that it was “one of the most defining projects” for his artistry. It features guest appearances from singers Jon Bellion and Sevyn Streeter.
His discography includes seven studio albums, five compilation albums, three extended plays (EPs), 26 mixtapes, 51 singles (including 29 as a featured artist), 14 promotional singles, and 76 music videos.
